Objectives

The assessment has two components:

1. Pass of all the co-requisite teaching modules. Doing so gives the students a minimum mark of 40% on this module.
2. A portfolio of other assessment items that generate a module mark that will be between 40 and 100%. This portfolio will consist of:
a. One written open-notes synoptic examination at the end of semester 1.
b. Two written open-notes synoptic examinations at the end of semester 2.
c. A portfolio of assignments that will include computing project, formal report, presentation and reflection.

These assessments span the programme learning outcomes for level 2. The content and specific skill learning outcomes will arise from the passing of the verifiable indicators of threshold attainment in learning (VITALs). The synoptic learning outcomes will be assessed by the portfolio, particularly the synoptic use of knowledge and skills which are a requirement for IOP Accreditation.

Learning outcomes
